(About the solubility of graphite in molten iron.)

Notes:
Carbon solubility is linear from 1152 to 1700 C.
Metallographic examination showed only graphite, cementite and austenite, no other components.
Carbon concentration of the graphite eutectic of 1152 C is 4.25 % , of the cementite eutectic at 1145 C, 4.30%.
Changes in viscosity that occur during melting or cooling are caused by the entrapment of kish graphite.
